-D.M.T. has a 7" out on OHEV records and a song on the Better Luck Next Time comp 7" out on Witching Hour Records. But what's the real deal with Dead Mens' Theory? And where have they gone? In the stormy mounth of March, DMT, headed by Tom Rankine, was set out to break every rule in hardcore. To push the limits of their 'genre'. And to spread a powerful message of love's follies, and of those that collapse under it's weight. Of course this was only after Singer/Songwriter Tom Rankine's tireless search for bandmates. An entourage to beat all. After intense rehearsals, DMT was ready for the road. They played shows, recorded a 7" and then broke up; leaving an abandoned tour in their faded trail. Rumors point to inner conflicts, fueled by personal/political differences as the reason for their demise. Some speak of a plight of alcohol and fetish. Most will never know the full potential of an exceptional and talented man... Tom Rankine, Diva.

love is the fall of every man, and the hatred from this broken heart has no redemption
it's a world with no where for me to go
and this empty void has become my life
if any words could take this back
i'd be the first to jump this burning cross
but i battle on

DEAD MENS' THEORY... To Never Love again - "Featuring members of Bird of Ill Omen, Dead Men’s Theory plays nine crazy, chaotic, hardcore songs with hints of grind/crust thrown in for good measure. Spastic percussion and bass, swirling metallic guitars, and vocals ranging from deep growls to high cackeling. Think Coalesce and Groundwork." -Lumberjack

Little Known Fact: Henry Logan, older brother of drummer Andrew Logan, aided DMT on their first show at Club Q by operating the Dr. Rhythm and it's effects rack for before-and-after-song sound effects and victory marches.

Little Known Fact: DMT had no steady bass player. In fact, they've even played shows as a three-piece. First bassist was none other than Peter from Bird Of Ill Omen.
